1. Tapping the iPhone Screen:
Double tap on the iPhone screen is pretty convenient for zooming in and zooming out images and text at a go. Most of us never cared to experiment or were too comfortable with the pinching in or out to do the same. Double tapping works equally well.
This is really cool if you want to view photos on the iPhone’s photo app, you can toggle between full screen mode and letterbox mode, just double tapping on the screen during video playback. Browsing is much more fun too as you can zoom in and zoom out the content with this double tapping trick.
2. How to reset iPhone, when it crashes:
Two options exist for resetting your iPhone:
a) Hold down the Home button for 5-6 seconds to force quit a crashed application.
b) Force a full shut down of your iPhone by holding down the Home and Sleep/Wake button.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact Apple or visit your local Apple dealer / Operator store
3. Want to save battery? Turn off your LCD:
To change the brightness of your iPhone LCD screen, go to Settings -> Brightness. Try running at 10 to 20% brightness as a good compromise between brightness and battery life.
4. Capture an image out of iphone screen:
Hold down the Home button with one hand and then press the Sleep/Wake button with the other. The iPhone will snap a picture of the screen and save it in your Camera Roll.
Then go and check Photos > Camera Roll.
5. Do you use location services? If not, turn them off:
Speed up your iPhone and conserve battery life if you don't use Google Maps. To disable location services go to Settings > General > Location Services.
6. Want to delete email wit a quick swipe?
By swiping an email from left to right you will quickly delete that email message. Nice and quick hey? Use this to keep your inbox under control as most people do not.
7. Can i use other apps while on call?
You can access your iPhone's main screen, and thus all of its applications, whilst on a call by pressing the Home button during a phone call to minimise the call screen. Tap the green bar at the top of the Home screen to return to your call.
8. Ever thought of disabling your 3g on your iphone?
This might sound strange but unless you need the speed of browsing the internet at 3G speeds instead of WiFi you can double your talk time from 5 hours to a whooping 10 hours!
To disable your 3G do the following:
a) Click on the Settings gear icon
b) Click on General
c) Click on Network
d) Slide the Enable 3G to OFF
9. Want to rearrange application icons?
To move an application icon, hold your finger down on an icon. The icons will then enter a 'wiggle mode', meaning that they'll start to wiggle (you'll see what I mean). Once they are wiggling, you will be able to drag them around or move them to another home screen page.
10. Don't visit Flash website - Not working
No, there is nothing wrong with your phone. Unfortunately it seems that Apple's iPhone still doesn't support Adobe Flash, so you won't be able to access these sites.
Best thing to do is make sure you let Apple know that you want an Adobe Flash plugin for the iPhone, so they actually get their act together and make it happen.
