Motorola Razr – What are your Choices?

For some time now Motorola have been marketing phones specifically targeting men and women. Two of the newest lines to be borne out of the original Razr are the Pink and the Blue. Naturally it is assumed that the Blue will be preferred by men and the Pink by women and Motorola are probably right. However in a recent survey carried out by NPD Group (one of the largest market research companies around) they have found that Motorola sales are accounting for 30% of the 31.6 million cell phones that were sold in the third quarter of 2005. This has certainly been true of the classic Silver Motorola Razr which has captured a large portion of the cell phone market in the past year or so, and has enabled Motorola to bite into Nokia’s leading position within the market. With the amount of additional options that have now been included in the Razr package such as the V3i having iTunes software and with the addition of the Pink and Blue Razr’s it certainly looks promising that Motorola will obtain an ever increasing share in the cell phone market from Nokia and other competitors. It has become obvious that people who care about how they look or want to make a statement are the type of people who would be looking to purchase a Motorola Razr. These phones are creating a lot of attention through out the cell phone market and are a becoming the must have item. The Motorola Razr family has certainly grown since it first came on to the market in a choice of either black or silver, however you can now get the Razr Pnk? (Razr Pink), Razr Blu? (Razr Blue) and further versions now available are the Motorola CDMA Razr for Verizon which comes with EVDO and the Motorola Razr V3i (with comes with an iTunes package). It should be remembered that these phones also include all the features that made the original models so great. As for the Blue and Pink versions these are really stylish updates of the original design to make your phone more of a fashion accessory. One of the biggest benefits of the CDMA version (for Verizon) is that it satisfies the Verizon Wireless subscribers who has been ogling over Cingular and T Mobile’s razr offerings. Whilst the V3i aims to improve Motorola’s slightly tarnished history when it comes to MP3 phones. The difference with the V3i compared to the Rocker is that this capability is essentially an add on. Also with the V3i you have the additional benefits of a 1.23 megapixel digital camera with 8x digital zoom, video capture and a full screen viewfinder.
