Initially Pentax had started producing bulky digicams in 2003, at that time, their models were keenly looked by the visitors, couples, cameramen and admirers of cameras. Yet now it has vowed to give a newer delight and satisfaction to its punters by producing the models with new capabilities and functionalities.

This adventurer digicam that is a shockproof – can endure the effects of a fall of over three feet (one meter), a waterproof – can work under the water of around 5 meters deep (for two hours), coldproof – can work in chilling climatic condition of minus 10 degrees centigrade, a dustproof – can keep all sorts of grime, soot and dust at bay.

This latest model has additional capacities of 12 megapixels, 5x optical zoom (equal to 28-140mm) and 2.5 inch LCD, HD movie recording, and Pixel Track Digital Shake Reduction.

This ideal series has one more distinct feature – that can be a source of greater delight exclusively for photographers – that its body is highly slim – only one inch size, with a wide angle lens of 28mm.

The Pentax Optio W80 lends a broader standpoint and hints to get smart close-ups of scenes with smart landscape, people or group of people.
