We Feel The LG P42PX5D Outperforms Many A TV That is more Expensive.

With Xmas heading towards us at an ever growing rate, now is the time of year that most of us review what state our own TV and DVD players are in so as not to miss out on all of the latest TV and Satellite movies. The aim of this article is to help you make your mind up if you are interested in buying a LG P42PX5D.

No longer an easy decision to make, buying your new TV is now a major financial investment. When you are spending the equivalent of what you used to spend taking the entire family on holiday several years ago it would be wise to ensure any decision made is a wise one.

Ensuring that any purchase you make is to all intent and purposes future-proof has to be the most major of all criteria when deciding which TV to buy.

The latest telecommunication system for broadcasting moving pictures and sound is known as Digital television (DTT) and as the name implies this relies upon the transmission and reception of digital signals as opposed to the more conventional analogue formats. DTV uses digital modulation data, which is digitally compressed and requires decoding by a specially designed television set, or a standard receiver with a set-top box, or a PC fitted with a television card.

With this article the aim is to take a look at what is on offer with the latest generation of Flat Screen Televisions and in this case the LG P42PX5D.

The P42PX5D is a 42in Plasma TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 1650 pounds sterling or 3300 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1024 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The LG has 3 (1 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the P42PX5D uses is HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the LG is available from a wide variety of outlets.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the LG P42PX5D?

Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 10 out of 10, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 8 out of 10. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 8 out of 10. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 8 out of 10 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 8 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 respectively.

The overall verdict would be the thing about LG is that rarely can you be dissappointed by the displays and this is no exception. This is an overall winner we feel as a package it out punches TV and displays that are far more expensive. The pictures, as have been said are bright and have a nice wide colour range. Could go on about this one all night if we're not careful. If you have the cash and can justify it then you would not go far wrong with going for this Plasma TV.

It is extremely unlikely given the variety and range of makes and models available that you will not be able to find something to match your tastes or budget.

The important thing to remember here is that with regards to the LG P42PX5D, this is only our opinion and an independent view and does not imply an official endorsement of the LG P42PX5D either way, good or bad.

We ask all readers to remember that the information in this article regarding the price of the TV’s are there for illustrative purposes and are meant as a guideline rather than an absolute quote and should be considered thus.
