The most popular video game in the history of video games was Super Mario Brothers 3. In gross sales Super Mario 3 was the second most games sold to the Original Mario Bros. Technically that makes Super Mario Brothers the most sold ever video game because the Original Mario Brothers came with the Nintendo Entertainment System. Another later release of the Nintendo System would come with a Super Mario 3 bundle pack instead of the Mario Bros/Duck Hunt bundle pack.
You are probably asking yourself why I would want to play Super Mario 3 for the Original Nintendo or online? Just for the sole fact that it's a revolutionary game for the world of console games. It featured Mario with new awesome abilities like the raccoon tail and ears, fire flower, frog suit, hammer brothers suit or the full raccoon suit (turns you into a statue).
It also featured returning characters like the Luigi, Princess Toadstool, King Bowser, and the goomba. Don't worry King Wart won't be in it this time for those familiar with Super Mario 2. Also introducing Bowsers children Larry Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr., Wendy O. Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Roy Koopa, Lemmy Koopa, and Ludwig von Koopa. They are the bosses of each world.
It also featured mini games like matching cards, matching pictures and a 2-player battle game. You can also play Super Mario 3 online with an NES emulator and rom. You can do that if you own the original cartridge for Nintendo or Super Mario Allstars.
With a action packed solid story line, if you have not picked up a controller by now you are missing out on a revolutionary game. Enjoy!
