How and When to Wearing Perfume
You begin to wear perfume when you start taking a shower by
making sure your shower gel or soap is either unscented or similar to your
fragrance. Scented soaps that are not similar tend to weaken fragrances. To
maintain a long-lasting scent throughout the day, one must layer with a
number of fragrant products. Applying such products as lotions, creams,
dusting powers, and perfume will result in a long-lasting effect. And the fragrance should be applied morning, noon, and evening.
When you apply products, always start from the lower portion of
the body, working your way up. Some people make the mistake of
applying fragrances only around the facial area. This allows the fragrance
to rise and then dissipate into the air rapidly, thereby leaving
you scentless. So start to apply the fragrance beginning behind the knee and working your
way up to the bend of the elbow. Next, apply to wrists and between the
breasts. Then apply to the throat and earlobes. Always dab--do not rub--perfume
onto the skin; rubbing damages perfume's molecular structure. When
you're using a spray perfume, spray it eight inches away from your body. I hope this gives you a basic understanding of how and when to
wear perfume.
