For some ladies, too many requests to take you to prom might be a problem. What would you do if your good friend invited you to go to prom and then another guy, a cool guy, did so, too? When you have to make a decision like this, there are many things to take into consideration. You should not just make a decision in a rash second. Before you say yes to either, and before you turn down the right guy, there are several things to think about.
One thing to remember about prom is that it is supposed to be a very enjoyable day for you. Therefore, when you are considering these two possible dates, one thing you want to consider carefully is which one you will likely have more fun with. You know how much fun your friend is. You also know how an evening out with them will likely be like. Do you know this about the popular guy, too? If you have not gotten to know them yet, do so first. Hang out with them a few times. Is this someone that you will be able to enjoy your prom with?
Sometimes, proms are supposed to be fun. Other times, ladies are hoping for a romantic evening. Regardless of what you are hoping for this special day, you will need the right guy to share it with. If you are heading to prom with a guy that is nothing more than your friend, you might not have that romantic feel to the evening you had hoped for. On the other hand, if you do have the goal of having more fun, than going with a friend makes more sense. As you consider this, determine which guy is more likely to help you create the type of evening you are looking forward to. Sometimes, friends are not the right choice.
For many ladies, having two guys ask them to prom is a real problem. Whose feelings will be hurt? Who will you let down? Will this ruin your friendship? Keep in mind the importance of prom to yourself, too. You have to make the decision based on who you want to go to prom with, not just on what other people will think or feel. In other words, you need to create an evening that is one you will be happy with.
There are many circumstances to take into consideration here. The important thing to remember, though, is that you should give the other guy, the guy you decide not to go to the prom with, an explanation of why not. Be sure to tell them what you have decided honestly and maybe help them to find a new date.
