I know you have heard this before but I don’t think you have heard it enough; high blood pressure is the silent killer. This means that you should have your blood pressure checked often. You should make sure that your love ones have their blood pressure checked often. If you have not had it checked you should make a promise to someone you love that you will get it checked and take that love one with you to have theirs checked. The point here is this, we all are at risk. Right at this very moment someone is having a stroke or a heart-attack because they didn’t know their blood pressure was high. Someone’s vital organs are not working properly because their high blood pressure went undetected for years. Someone right at this very moment is planning a funeral for a love one because they thought their blood pressure was OK. This is what you should do right now. Go get your blood checked by a doctor. The doctor is the only one that can start you on the right treatment if you have high blood pressure. If you need medication to treat your blood pressure, take it as you are prescribed to take it. Your doctor will need to see you again because he/she will need to monitor you to make sure the medicine is working properly. At this point he/she may or may not change the medication. You may need to take your HBP medicine for the rest of your life. If you do have high blood pressure you will need to make some life style changes. Your doctor may suggest that you start an exercise program for weight loss, decreasing the amount of salt in your diet, reducing the alcohol you drink, and quit smoking. One other thing you should do is learn to relax to reduce the stress in your life. Life style changes can be difficult. ? You can’t eat the things you use too eat. ? You have to find time to fit exercise into an already busy schedule. ? You have to quit smoking With all those changes you can create more stress which can make your blood pressure more of a problem. You need to learn to control that stress. Stress is a part of all of the changes that you must make. You need to find a way to decrease the stress so that the life style changes that you must make are easy, trouble-free, and painless if at all possible. You need to smell your way to good health. You need to Learn The Power of Aromatherapy. This method of relaxation is the very thing that helps decrease the stress that comes from life style changes. With Aromatherapy you will find that you can relax effortlessly, naturally, and with ease.
