Keeping your brain fit is as important as keeping your body fit. Health of your brain plays a critical role in almost everything we do – be it thinking, remembering, working, playing and even sleeping. But we usually ignore this fact that brain too needs to be kept hale and hearty.

1) Take on a brain-healthy lifestyle

Like other parts of your body, your brain may lose some agility as you get older. It can deteriorate even more if you don’t take care of it. So, adopt a life style & make choices that are healthy for your brain too.

2) Stay mentally active

Exercises & activities that are stimulating strengthen brain cells and the connections between them and may also create new nerve cells. Crossword puzzles, Scrabble & other word games are a fun way to stimulate your brain.



3) Socially Active

Social activity not only makes physical and mental activity more enjoyable, it can reduce stress levels & provides much needed emotional support which helps maintain healthy connections among brain cells.
