When the experts checked the situation 14 years later, it appeared that those who had suffered from anxiety or depression in childhood were more prone to use the drug Ecstasy. The team of scientists from the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam examined the 1,580 children as part of a long-term population study.
Older mothers are more prone to have non-identical twins
According to a Dutch research in the Journal of Human Reproduction, older women are more prone to have non-identical twins. The reason lays in the fact that their hormones often go into overdrive so the women have multiple ovulations during the same menstrual cycle.
The experts stated that it was the first documentation that as women get older, increased levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) influence multiple follicular growth in body cycles and contribute to twinning.
