Did you know that on average a man will wait two years before seeking medical attention when his physical health suffers? Chronic pains go unreported, heart tremors get ignored. Other warning signs the body may produce such as chronic sweating, spasmodic trembling, and difficulty in breathing also receive the same silence before a man may finally seek professional medical assistance.
Two years is a long time for such danger signs to be ignored. These symptoms are visible warning signs from the body that medical attention needs to be sought. Now should the mans symptoms be related to his sexual prowess, such as his ability to achieve an erection, his silence may be even longer than two years.
We might as well admit it now that our male ego is very easily bruised when it comes to our sexual virility. In fact any difficulties with either gaining or sustaining an erection, is guaranteed to make most men bury their heads in the sand and try to ignore the problem completely. He retreats into a state of silent suffering rather than to share his problem with others. This includes not only keeping the problem from his sexual partner , but also his Doctor as well.
What you really need to understand, is that impotence only is a symptom of a greater illness in exactly the same way as a chronic pain is an indication of a deeper problem. Impotence in itself is not a disease, it is a warning sign from the mind or body that something is wrong on a deeper level.
You see there are actually four root causes of impotence. Two of them are psychological causes, one is a combination of psychological and physical causes, and the last is the most serious of all. The fourth cause is when the impotence is a symptom of a physical problem.
These physical problems can be anything from damage to the nerves of the penis or spine, sclerosis (hardening of the arteries), or of high blood pressure, to something far worse. In many cases it can be a symptom of impending diabetes, heart disease, or even prostate cancer. That is why I term impotence a silent killer.
Although the impotence in itself cannot kill you, those two years of silence from seeking professional medical help can be enough to seal your fate if you are suffering from heart or cancer related problems. That is why I urge all men who suffer from any form of sustained impotence to seek instant medical attention. Just remember you will not be the first man suffering from this condition that your Doctor has had to treat, and also keep in mind that your Doctor will treat all the information you share with him in the strictest confidence.
Even if you do not want to mention your problems with your sex drive or erection to your Doctor then at the very least arrange for a full physical medical examination. Those tests could save your life. Do not end up dying from your silence.
