Fasting is one of the most well known methods used for quick
weight loss. In fact, one of the magazines published in the
month of June 2008 stressed the importance of fasting and
how it can help one lose weight pretty fast. However,
reality is not always so rosy. You will find that while
people lose a few pounds by fasting, as soon as they start
their normal diet, almost always they gain back all the
'lost' weight. If things happen like that then your enduring
with the pangs of hunger has totally gone waste!
One of the fundamental reason why people gained their
weight back is because of their old habits. "Out of sight,
Out of mind" ...as the saying goes. Just because we have
lost weight doesn't mean that we can revert to our old
eating habits. Food like Hamburger, Sodas, are bad for us
and always will be. Therefore to break the cycle we ought to
change what we eat as well if we wish to avoid gaining back
all the weight that we lost. Eat foods that have high fiber
content like Raw fruits or green vegetables. First, this has
the effect of making you feel "full" and secondly, these
food are not filled with toxins that are harmful to our
body. This will allows your body time to remove the toxins
from your body.
Weight gain is an indicator that our body is filled with
toxins. These toxins are acquired through several ways: from
the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink.
The effects of these toxins are harmful to us in the way
that they will make us eat more than what our body require.
Furthermore, our body metabolism rate will slow down and
this will result in less calories burnt leading to weight
gained.
1.Making good choices for your snacks: If you are aware of
what goes into your mouth, then snacking need not be bad for
your health. It will not be entirely good to eat cookies and
drink sodas. But it is healthy to snack on celery sticks and
carrots or even on almond butter. It is also a good idea
when you are finished with snacking that you do some light
exercise like a short walk or just chores in the house. This
will be more than sufficient to burn the calories that you
just consumed.
2. Drink lots of water: Almost eighty-three per cent of our
body is composed of nothing but water. Since water is such
an important part of our body, it only makes sense to make
sure that you drink enough water every day. An adult is
required to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
Remember I told you how toxins made you overweight? Well,
water's job is to flush out these toxins through your
kidneys. Once your body gets detoxified this way, it is only
a matter of time before you lose weight successfully!
