Tubal pregnancy is an uncommon pregnancy. Fertilization occurs when the sperm fused with egg in the fallopian tube. These fertilized eggs reaches the uterus and stays there to complete the pregnancy period. This is the common thing happens in pregnancy. It happens when the fertilized egg does not reach the uterus for the gestation period. It implants itself outside the uterus like abdominal cavity, cervix and fallopian tube. Proper treatment should be given as soon as possible after detecting.
Symptoms:
If there are signs of symptoms such as tenderness or pain in the pelvis or abdomen, we should consult a doctor. It will become more serious as time goes on. Vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain that rises at a period with lower back pain, shoulder pain when you lie down and pelvic pain are some of the major symptoms.
Other Symptoms:
The normal signs of pregnancy are quite similar to those of tubal pregnancy. This consists of tiredness, breast tenderness, a missed menstrual period and morning sickness. Because of this diagnosis becomes difficult. Consult your doctor soon, if there are the symptoms of stomach pain and bleeding. They will resolve if there is tubal pregnancy by using an ultrasound or a simple blood test. The risks of your future pregnancies and health are highly reduced if it is treated earlier. The hidden health risks can be reduced or removed if we found it sooner.
Unknown reasons:
The reasons are unknown in many cases. Fallopian tube problems are the common factors. It can be due to intrauterine contraceptive devices, pelvic infections and endometriosis. It is also associated with many hormonal drugs like contraceptive hormonal medication, fertility drugs, abdominal surgeries including the reproductive system and smoking.
Slow rising HCG levels:
If your doctor suspects that you have tubal pregnancy or if there is vaginal spotting he will test using quantitative HCG test as the first stage of testing. The main indicator is slow rising HCG levels. HCG levels normally would double in each 2-3 days of early pregnancy in a case of a normal pregnancy. The doctor may advice for more ultra sound or blood work to eliminate other possible problems if the HCG levels are decreased or not doubled.
Cramping:
During early pregnancy gentle cramping is normal. But it is not normal when there is spotting with cramping or severe cramping. It is also one of the symptoms of the tubal pregnancy. Cramping may also be on one side. It will feel like menstrual cramps.
