There is a definite magic stemming from the male sex but I believe people live more independent. Obligations and household tasks are shared today as both must work to have enough money for living. In her work The Second Sex Beauvoir Simone De Beauvoir says that woman is not born, but rather nurse to be the one. She exemplifies the huge importance of society on a baby's development. In childhood both sexes are treated identical. Boys and girls are kissed all the time, they both shed tears. They just belong to different sexes. It is their parents who primary introduce their kids to the stereotypes of the sexes. They purchase for girls kitchen sets, and dolls, cosmetic, and gaudy dresses. They boys get sports equipment, toy warriors, dinosaurs and cars. They instruct girls to become skilled housewives, mothers, and perfect beauties. The boys are trained to show competitiveness and power. The author does not believe that people are born with male and female qualities. Our parents, relatives, tutors, and the whole rest of the world impose them upon us. They are not inborn, they are taught. Parents have unlike hopes for different sexes. Boys should not to cry, they are to be hard, and violent and resilient. Girls in contrast are said to be tenderer, they are given an embrace when they cry. Therefore the passivity that is the necessary feature of the "feminine" girl is a trait that grows in her from the early childhood. But it is incorrect to declare that biological characteristics are concerned; it is in fact a fate imposed upon a girl by her instructors and society. The huge benefit for the boy is that his style of life leads him to prove his personal freedom. The man is trained to rule. He is taught to demonstrate himself and he has the free will to do so from the very childhood. She, in contrast, taught to be inactive and to accommodate his wishes.
