Boney James Pure Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Smooth Jazz artist Boney James has released his CD entitled Pure. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Boney James fans, and Smooth Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Pure Boney James's artistic excellence is on full display as he has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be his best work to date. Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. The nice thing about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Smooth Jazz isn't your favorite style you still can't help but appreciate the greatness of the artist. Listen and I think you'll agree that the song choices are excellent, the production is outstanding and Boney James's horn blowing is in top form. Of particular note on this offering is his amazing rendition of Stone Groove with the venerable Joe Sample. Pure grabs your attention right from the start with the title track and holds it right through to the final note of the final track, You Don't Have To Go Home. While this entire album is outstanding some of my favorite tracks are track 1 - Pure, track 7 - Break Of Dawn, and track 10 - You Don't Have To Go Home. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 6, Here She Comes. Great track!
