The speech is practically the best method to convey a thought or opinion. The idea that the memorable speech holds modern worth to community irrespective of the time of its presentation, and it is certainly factual. By bright and compelling employ of words and expressions, the speech conveys the reader the precise feeling the writer wanted. The speech of Denise Levertov, that is “speech for a TV program” and Margaret Atwood’s "Spotty-Handed Villainesses" speech greatly employ these devices. "Speech for a TV program", by Denise Levertov's, is an unaired speech of television communicating the troubles of war, holds important worth to modern society. The first paragraph sums up the circumstances on account of which the statement itself was composed. The next part consists of emotion, which criticizes the supposed "balanced view" the war has and its environmental special effects such as some king of insanity, plus the producer, the man who invited, then refused the statement of her vision as a lack of sincerity. The theme that echo's real throughout her speech and convincing devices are the malevolence of war. Some themes of anti-war which her text speech for a TV program declares, that was created in 1972, go on to ring real even in modern society. For example, such statements as Levertov's ones have made an impact to the marks of anti-war papers. By using triple statement, Denise gives explanation about the concerns with modern issues (war for the most part) have took verses away from celebrating natural world and poetry which exist at present seen as a moving contrast to the malevolence enveloping the planet, namely, war. This triple statement can emerge when she says something like to curse, and to warn, and to gnash the language teeth. Denise use of triple statement creates much trustworthiness within her fight against the war. By Levertov's employ of rhetorical devices in addition to her real belief of war to be evil causes her language to indisputably hold much of modern value and integrity.
