The history of the world had a diversity of civilizations that contribute significantly to our cultures. One of the civilizations is the Maya. While existing the Maya were kept in touch with other Indian tribes all around, predominantly with the ones of Mexico. For a long time Mexican rulers run parts of the Maya. In such states of affairs marriages between them must have been numerous. The Maya are consequently as mixed ethnicity as nearly all European folks. The Maya state varied in its type of weather. The best developments were the heart of the lands at the north of Guatemala. It contained as well the Yucatan Peninsula, the part of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, the southwestern part of El Salvador and Honduras. The Maya civilization had exciting features in their culture or that they achieved eventually. The significant features of these people are their physical peculiarities, the way they dress, their type of society, the crop growing, humanities and science, faith, deity, architecture, trade, arithmetic and administration. The physical peculiarities of the Maya civilization are the next; they were small, with broad, heavy body, with fine muscle development and with an inclination to gain weight. Their heads were large, lips thick, aquiline nose. Their chin and forehead looked rather receding, their eyes were narrow with thick lids and their cheekbones were high. The color of their skin was from medium to black, and their hair was dark, straight to seldom curly. A greater physical diversity amongst the Maya of the highlands, the language variety, and the historical descriptions all put forward the idea about a great influence from outside. The language of the Maya is used by nearly all Yucatecans. Nevertheless lots of them cannot speak Spanish. There exist proof of impoverishment of lexis of the Maya during the last two centuries, but the it is still rather rich.
