Finding Nemo Finding Nemo tells the charming tale of a fish that journeys out too far and ends up getting caught. The normal, everyday father who is as far from a hero as can be then makes the heroic effort to save his only son and bring him back home. The movie is witty, funny, and only too cute. When Finding Nemo first released to theatres, it didn’t take long for the word to spread and for millions of viewers to have their hearts warmed by this wonderful tale. The movie is filled with characters that you will never forget. Each memorable character was designed incredibly well and is voiced by actors, although not the most famous, that match their characters perfectly and do well to make the movie unforgettable. The DVD comes in only one form, a two-disc Collector’s Edition. The movie has both wide and fullscreen versions and each was done very well. The movie, since it is CG-animated, is obvious fueled by its presentation and the quality of the 3-D and this quality made the transfer extremely well. The colors are incredibly vibrant and bring the ocean and other settings to life. The animation is superb and seamless and overall the movie is simply gorgeous. The Collector’s Edition DVD also contains quite a few deleted scenes and commentaries that are quite interesting. The deleted scenes can be fun to watch but it is usually obvious why they didn’t make the cut. The commentary is done extremely well by the movie’s two creators and they are constantly cracking jokes and keeping the commentary very interesting. Finding Nemo makes a great performance on DVD and everyone looking for a fun, comedic, and family friendly movie should definitely consider picking it up. It is priced well and contains enough extras on top of the outstanding movie itself to warrant a purchase.
