Going back to the Chicago Auto Show last February, the Ford Motor Company has announced that it will be presenting a Ford Escape Hybrid taxi cab to Chicago. This would be used as part of a study and test for a year of evaluation.
At present, the presentation of such a hybrid vehicle is in the works. In fact, all the preparation is still being ironed out for any kind of flaws. Part of the whole program is scheduled interview made especially for media people. Those who will be part of this segment in the program would include Norma Reyes, the Department of Consumer Services Commissioner; Nancy Gioia, the director of Ford’s Sustainable Mobility and Hybrid programs department; Mark Kaufman, the Group SUV marketing manager of the company; as well as Kermit the Frog, the speaker of the company for the Ford Escape Hybrid.
On Thursday, June 8th, this presentation would be taking place. It will be held at the Museum of Science and Industry which can be found on 57 St. and Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. It will be done in the evening and Kermit the Frog would be the main host of the said affair. There will also be a reception made especially for Ford Escape Hybrid owners. This would actually give them a chance to rub elbows with Ford engineers.
Another part of the event would be a preview of “Frogs: A Chorus of Colors” exhibit. This exhibit is mainly focusing on how amphibians are one of the first species in this planet that is affected by changes in the environment. Of course, this would show just how much hybrids like the Ford Escape Hybrid would be able to help out and address such an issue.
