Why Optimum7 Actually Rejects Potential SEO Clients


SEO or Search Engine Optimization is an intensive, interactive process that requires a strongly committed SEO Company. The commitment must be based on results … high search engine rankings, high conversion rates and a measurable ROI. There are certain inescapable truths about Search Engine Marketing:

1. It is expensive.
2. It takes months to actually achieve visible results. Depending on competition, it can take 6-12 months.
3. Many potential clients will be unwilling to wait this long or invest this amount of money.
4. The money isn’t the only major commitment the potential client must make. The client must also make a very substantial commitment to content. This content can be done by the client or someone else (3rd party) … however there is no option; fresh non-duplicate content is essential for a successful Search Engine Strategy.

Optimum7 is actually no different than any other business when it comes to the price of its services. When a prospective client cannot or will not be able to afford or budget the required funds to sustain its services, such as SEO, we have no other choice to advise the client that we will not be able to help them. And … we do want CLIENTS and not sales. Clients for Optimum7 are those committed businesses and organizations that recognize the value and potential of Internet Marketing and Search Engine Marketing as a strong component thereof. They are in it for the long haul and will certainly renew our services year after year because the results as measured in search engine visibility, traffic on the site, conversions, sales and bottom line ROI are all crystal clear.

Within the past year we have taken the ultimate step in insuring the success of our clients. We have made content a contractual obligation. We have simply formalized the commitment. This is not to say that we leave it up to the client. We offer options such as 3rd party SEO copywriting, either selected by the client through their own resources or by hiring Optimum7 to provide SEO Copywriting as a separate but adjunctive service. We have included a “fail safe” in the agreement that authorizes Optimum7 to automatically initiate SEO Copywriting if the client becomes unable to meet this essential commitment.

We don’t wait for proposal-time to address this important issue. We discuss it upfront; explain why it is essential and not optional. We make certain that this is understood before we can move forward. The client must understand why it is so important and what the severe costs related to lost opportunity and time. We demonstrate actual results of existing clientele and further illustrate how we were able to achieve these results and how these results are just not possible without the steady stream of relevant content.

Optimum7 has taken a very strong position. However, the benefits to our clients are unmistakable. We are able to consistently achieve high search engine rankings for highly popular, highly competitive, relevant keywords so that our clients are being found by precisely those who are seeking their products and services.

We don’t stop with high rankings. Our commitment is to the ultimate success of our clients and that means ROI. ROI cannot be achieved with search engine rankings along. We include in our SEO services, “Conversion Optimization” which involves very sophisticated methods of ascertaining and delivering the right set of design elements on the website itself towards maximizing conversions; sales, leads, RFP’s, requests for more information … the defined action (s) that make a website visit successful for the website owner.

So, why does Optimum7 actually reject potential clients? … Because they can’t be clients by our definition. They can only be one time sales that will be disappointed due to a lack of results. We reject them because they can’t make the same levels of commitment and dedication that we provide the project ourselves. It is simply not a good match.

This process amounts to screening for new clients. As a result, all Optimum7 clients have a uniquely rich understanding of exactly what to expect and what it takes to achieve our mutual goals.
