Business Cards - Versatile to use

Business cards are very versatile in use. They can be used by business people as a way of giving their details to acquaintances and business associates or they can be used as advertising material for their business. When you are launching a new business you can distribute the cards to strangers as a way of introducing your business to the area. These cards are easier to distribute than flyers would be as they are small and passersby are more likely to take a card from you than a large flyer. They are inexpensive to print if you do this yourself and could be fun to design. Run them past friends and relatives before printing too many of them. Be open to their suggestions and make changes where necessary. Make use of color as this is more eye catching than black and white would be. Print the logo and name of your business clearly in the middle with all the relevant details in one corner. Make sure the physical address and contact numbers are clearly visible. The distribution of the cards is important so plan where you will start doing this. It is advisable to start in the area where your premises are. This will help the public to identify with the new store on the block. Target busy areas and hand out cards as to as many people as possible. Always do it in a friendly fashion so that most people will want to take a card from you when you approach them. You could later on start giving your little advertisements more value by printing your special offers and discounts on the backs of the cards. You could have “buy one get one free” offers or give a small gift with purchases over a certain value. Anything you can think of to attract customers will be to your advantage. The whole idea is to get more feet through your store and to turn customers into regular customers. You could even have numbers printed on the cards and periodically have lucky draws with a prize to be won.
