Being an African American Male born in the early 60’s, I was given a message and that message came in many different sound bites that fed my subconscious a theme that would hold me hostage from reaching my success.
Now as a business owner with streams of incomes paying now more in 1 month more than I ever made on a job, those messages don’t register, and in fact the messages had to cease before I could get on top and become sustainably successful. See if you recognize any of the messages:
It will all be alright after a while
The white man will never let me have anything
Just get good grades and get a good job
A black man has to work twice as hard to have the same amount of success as other counter parts
Live began for me when I realized that the sky is the limit, and as long as I have breath there is nothing that I couldn’t achieve in business, spiritually, or any other areas of my life! And now some of the colleagues I run into that share the same experience are now opening the doors for so many others who are dragging around the same message.
For example a good friend and business colleague of mine (Derrick Tyson) opens his door for advice and give business opportunities to those who may otherwise ever get the chance! I mean assisting some who come from typical jobs and developing them to produce 3-5k in their first 60 days of mentoring them. So, whenever I identifiy someone who has dropped the old messages, and exchanged them for the “anything is possible” messages, I just have to tell so many others so they can tap into these new sources of encouragement and financial genious leaders in the business community.
