Why Accepting Checks Can Be Deadly For Your Business

If you have been in business for a while now you must have had at least some experience with bounced checks. Imagine one thousand bounced checks....or ten thousand bounced checks....Well, you get the picture. Most banks charge at least ten or more dollars per bounced check. If you are just starting out in business, can you afford this?

I was watching a religious program on T.V. one day and the preacher said that they had received over a half a million dollars in bad checks! That's $500,000 smackaroos! Just think if this was to happen to you and your business. What on earth would you do? What if you received a bunch of orders one day and you deposited the checks in the bank thinking that you had made some nice money only to find out that you actually owed the bank a nice tidy sum? This would be devastating to your business. You would probably go off the deep end!

The solution to this I think is to sign up with some of the online payment processors like StormPay and PayPal to name a few. You can also sign up with an Ecommerce Total Package provider. One such provider is located at  http://www.epaywebsite.com. These online processors cut down on the possibility of fraud in transacting business via credit cards. Although no payment method is 100% effective in eliminating fraud, wouldn't it be nice to know that you're not going to wake up one day to such a disastrous consequence as one hundred or more bounced checks? I would think so.

We who work the 'Net have to be vigilant in protecting our business from fraud. I can't think of a better way than some real-time online payment processors no matter what the method of payment might be.
