Everybody procrastinates so you might as well get good at it. Procrastinate at the things that don’t pay you and get good accomplishing the things that do. What you have to do is look at everything you have to get done on a daily basis. The things that put the most money in your pocket are the things you have to get done first. This is how you benefit best from your time. You’re always going to have a big list of things to do, so create a habit of taking care of the most important things first. Get someone else to help you with the other things. If you focus most of you time on what pays you the biggest amount of money you can afford to pay someone to help you. Sit down and make a log of everything you have to do on a weekly basis. Lay it out, minuet by minuet, day by day. Throughout the week take a look at everything you do and say to yourself, “What kind of return from the investment of my time comes back at me for doing this? Could I have someone else do this that could be just as good if not better, someone who could get it done quicker than me? Take all of those things that are not giving you the most return and get them done elsewhere. This way you can spend your time going after those things that pay you the biggest. I’ll give you an example of this: What pays me the biggest amount in my business is training my salespeople. On a day to day basis a hundred other things come up, there is always a fire that has to be put out. Everything always seems like an emergency. What I have done in the past, is put those little thing above the one thing that pays me the most. I tried to get those little things accomplished first because they were the easiest and I put the number one thing I should have been working on, on the back burner. For instance, going on line to pay a bill, you know it just takes a few minuets. What you have to realize is all the little things that build up throughout the day will eventually put you behind a few hours then a day then a few days. It’s a vicious cycle that never ends until you make it end. You have to take the time to figure out, what’s bringing in the money for you? You have to make sure, whatever it is, you get it done first each day. Focus on what gives you the biggest return. The salespeople who are making $250,000 plus a year have a team. They only focus their time on what they do best and what makes them the most money. You have to build a good system and a good team to make that kind of money. Start today and only procrastinate on the things that don’t give you the biggest results. Go Get ‘Em!
