Apatar, Inc., announced Apatar Enterprise Data Mashups™, the world’s first open source on-demand data integration software tools and services at the Red Herring East Conference, being held June 26-28, 2007, in Boston, MA. Apatar Enterprise Data Mashups is a new product for aggregating and reading RSS content within the enterprise. Apatar enables its users to easily link information between files (Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, CSV/TXT files), databases (such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle), applications (Salesforce.com, SugarCRM), and the top Web 2.0 destinations (Flickr, Amazon S3). Apatar provides support, training, and consulting services for its integration solutions. Apatar is the first company to release open source tools for non-technical staff and customers to access the application data they need to do their jobs more effectively. “Apatar operates across two of the most attractive technology categories for venture capital today: open source and Enterprise 2.0,” said Joel Dreyfuss, Editor-in-Chief of Red Herring. “Red Herring East is a great launch-pad for companies like Apatar, because this conference is where money, fortune, and good ideas connect." "Apatar is creating a shift in the way we look at data,” said Deepak Singh, Blogger-in-residence at TechBizMedia.com. “With its on-demand data integration tools working together with complimentary RSS aggregation services Apatar will go a long way towards commoditizing information integration between applications, databases across the enterprise traditionally suffering from information integration issues among heterogeneous systems." "Apatar brings the ease of drag-and-drop data integration to non-technician users within companies who previously found proprietary data integration, ETL and EAI tools expensive and difficult to implement," said Renat Khasanshyn, CEO of Apatar, Inc. The program’s functions have been significantly enhanced thus making the program more convenient to work with. Now SearchInform saves files for indexing added by the user in a separate file, which let’s you save their support even after reinstalling the program. The organization of system file storage was also optimized.
Another innovation had to do with the indexing process: SearchInform 2.3.01 now supports search in ThunderBird mail client messages, mIRC messages are available for indexing and browsing of MS Outlook messages has been optimized.
There have also been improvements in SearchInform Corporate Enterprise, which lets you index all of the available information from all the computers in the local network of the organization and puts it all together in a single database. Documents on disks, information systems, e-mail messages, instant messaging programs like MSN and ICQ — all that is processed and used in the query search.
