         “What is a personal digital assistant,” you might ask? A PDA is a small computer that fits into the palm of your hand. They are also called palm tops, used to store telephone numbers, internet addresses, make calculations and access the internet. Today’s PDA fits comfortably into your pocket, has good battery life, rechargeable from home or office. A PDA includes a small screen, larger than a digital phone, but smaller than the smallest laptop, a small Qwerty key board, made for thumb typing and a stylus made of plastic or metal to input data communicate with the PDA device by a touch pad or screen. They are popular with people whp do a great deal of traveling, college students, corporate professional, etc. There are many types of palm top computers that range in price and features. For example, you can purchase a palmtop computer that comes with basic of telephone and address book, calendar, calculator and other travel functions for about $100. With these inexpensive palm tops, you can send and receive data from other computers. PDA that come with color screens, large memory storage, are moderately priced. If you are looking for a high end palm top, you will find almost any available options, wireless phones, games, large memory storage and MP3 player for about $400-500.
