SearchInform Internet Server enables the user to organize search through any given site or a list of resources. SearchInform Internet Server allows the owner of a web site or information portal to provide its users with the ability to conduct quick quality full text search in the contents of the whole resource. Search results are displayed in both HTML and XML formats, which makes them fit the web site’s custom design. SearchInform Internet Server can also organize vertical (topical) search through a preset list of resources. The program boasts its exceptionally high reaction speed to any web site updates (reindexing takes place at a time interval set by the user) as well as a much more precise relevance of results compared to most global search engines (as search is conducted only through the previously selected list of relevant to the user resources). These features enable you to quickly get just the information you need. The web sites to be indexes can be selected not only by topic, but also by their belonging to a certain domain zone (for instance, all sites from .biz zone). The program’s functions have been significantly enhanced thus making the program more convenient to work with. Now SearchInform saves files for indexing added by the user in a separate file, which let’s you save their support even after reinstalling the program. The organization of system file storage was also optimized.
Another innovation had to do with the indexing process: SearchInform 2.3.01 now supports search in ThunderBird mail client messages, mIRC messages are available for indexing and browsing of MS Outlook messages has been optimized.
There have also been improvements in SearchInform Corporate Enterprise, which lets you index all of the available information from all the computers in the local network of the organization and puts it all together in a single database. Documents on disks, information systems, e-mail messages, instant messaging programs like MSN and ICQ — all that is processed and used in the query search.
