Internet Security Appliance

"Had a pretty revealing day this weekend. The best persons to know where Cyberoam is installed it seems are the DP – depository participant - sales men. I had the sales person from my DP come over for some paper processing related to my shares. In advising me to invest more in shares and asking me to do it during the work day, he asked me where I worked. When I told him that I worked at the Cyberoam place, to my surprise, he said, “So well, the sites must be blocked for you, but you could give it a try.” Plus, he named a couple other companies with Cyberoam installations where trading sites are blocked. Turns out he was right about the client names. So it wasn’t just the purchasers and the influencers who are hearing about Cyberoam.

What I couldn’t tell him was that, companies aren’t just using Cyberoam effectively to block these sites, they are going a step further and watching who shows up with the most blocked sites. The reason they are able to pay such close attention is that Cyberoam gives them the name of their users – along with the attempts. Linking IP addresses to the user is a long, winding road as we all know. Who has the time for it anyway? Even if you had the time, how would you do it in a Wi-Fi situation?

Which is why where all other users simply place the internet security appliance and expect to forget it, Cyberoam customers are able to watch their users. And hence create and recreate better policies that are as dynamic as the users are."
