Viruses are a serious threat to your computer and they can spread very fast like a common cold. Viruses tend to infect computers through Email, servers and the network your computer is connected to. The top symptoms include slow pc, computer shutting down and programs that just won’t work. Virus can be practically dangerous when you stay in contact with friends and relatives through email. Sending any files or documents as attachments through email will spread the viruses quickly and infect other computer users. Once you are actually infected through email the viruses will then attach Itself to a document and will automatically send itself out through your email contacts. Anyone that opens that email will then become infected and the process continues. Can you see how quickly they can spread! But there is good news you can remove viruses from your system and prevent them from ever entering your computer to start with. The best way to remove and prevent viruses is good anti-viruses software. Now there are literally thousands of anti-virus software packages on the Internet so make sure you do some research before you purchase any software. Find a product that suites your computer needs and will provide the best protection. Before I buy anything on the Internet I always use a site called www.ripoffreport.com. This site provides Information on people that have been scammed or are just not satisfied with the product they purchased. Just type in the web sites name and see what people are saying about the site or product. Ok so you’ve found good anti-virus software I must stress to you the importance of keeping your software up to date. Every day there are new viruses hitting the Internet so you must update your anti-virus software at least once a week. Make sure your anti-virus software is working properly. You will now be able to scan all your emails, files, folders and anything you download. When scanning your computer for viruses boot your computer up in safe mode this can be done by going to the start tag on the bottom left hand corner and choosing shut down. When asked, “what do you want computer to do” select Boot in safe mode. Once you are in safe mode viruses and other threats become very very vulnerable for attack now just run your anti-viruses software and remove any viruses. Now and again you will come across some viruses that just don’t want to be removed. In this case take the name of the viruses from your anti-virus software and place it in your favourite search engine. Then just follow the removal procedures on one of the web sites. You should now be totally free from any viruses and you have taken important steps to preventing any viruses from entering your computer. I highly recommend you find a good firewall and install it ASAP for even more protection. Your computer should now be running faster, smoother and safer for a better online experience.
