Buying a wedding engagement ring online is now a standard practice. When buying a wedding ring online you don't have to worry about the pressure of a salesman breathing down your neck trying to make the big sell. Engagement rings are expensive and so they are very aggressive in trying to make the sale. When you are online you can take your time and peruse the selections. Thoroughly researching your choice before you buy.

That's all well and good, but now let me get into the real meat of why you should buy online. Money! You are almost definitly going to get a better deal online than you would at a local jewelry store. And not just because of the lower prices (and yes the prices will be lower) but also because of no sales taxes online! In some states that could save you as much as 8.5% off your purchase. If you are buying a $10,000 ring that would be a savings of 850 bucks. Pretty nice.

So buying online has the advantages of no salesman pressure, more time to research your purchase, and you save a huge amount of money by not having to pay sales taxes. It seems to me that it's an obvious choice to buy your wedding ring online.

Buying online is actually quite safe. Purchase your ring with your credit card so you have a good record of what you've paid.
