Some of you have probably never heard of a diploma mill, and some of you probably have, and hopefully, have not gotten taken by one. A diploma mill is one of those companies, or “schools”, who offer great things to students, such as a GED or high school diploma within a month, week, or even a few days. They will offer an “instant” diploma just based on your “life experiences” or “life skills” and ensure you that you can have this diploma within a few days after paying their fees. These diploma mills also offer a “flat fee” for their services and diplomas, enticing you with this great promise of an instant diploma with your name on it. Well, these promises are always bogus and these companies that award diplomas based solely on “life skills” or “life experiences” will only end up getting you into trouble down the road. Employers will look at this diploma, that isn't based on any type of class, credits, or other traditional means and will usually have one of the following reactions: you won't get the job, you won't get the promotion, you will get fired, or you could even be prosecuted for providing false records to the company about your education. No one wants any of these consequences laid on them after trying to get their GED or high school diploma, so what do you do? Where do you start? At Citizen's High School, you will find the means to earn your high school diploma from an accredited high school on your own time. You can study, learn, and take your exams from the comfort of your own home, on your own time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And, although you won't earn your diploma immediately, you will be able to look your employer, or interviewer, in the eye and tell them that you earned your high school diploma, and not worry about the school or company that you got it from. Citizen's High School has been an accredited high school since 1981, and continues to offer the same high quality classes and education that they have been known for since their opening. You can take a wide variety of classes through Citizen's High School, including vocational classes! Your books, workbooks, and other study materials are included in the class enrollment fees, so you also won't have to worry about extra money for books or class materials. Citizen's High School makes it easy for working adults to earn their high school diploma and move on to a better job and life after graduating. So, when you are considering a “diploma mill” for an instant diploma, think about what your boss, or soon to be boss, will think about a diploma that is based on “life experiences” and how they will react. Then, think about how different their reaction will be when they learn that you took the time to earn your high school diploma from Citizen's High School. Which reaction would you rather have?
