The Bearer Of Life

Most mamas when asked what is the most memorable day in her life was and they would immediately tell that it was the day her 1st baby is born. Such was the instance with me and my momma. I found it ridiculous being aware of the fact that almost every minute we would shout out for her to make stuff for us, even as easy as acquiring an extra blanket because were too sluggish to get it ourselves. My mommy is queasy most of the time because of multi-tasking between her work and tending to us that at some point I assured I would never be a mum, ever. Just imagine, having a tough job with the most terrible pay, has barely the moment to ease off and still attends to us children. Who in their normal judgment would desire to pass through all of that?

Lets just make a step back and get a reply to the question, What is a true mother made of?

What does it need to become a mommy? And why are they so remarkable even to the point of awarding them a special function to wit, making us go crazy over what to impart as Mothers Day Gifts? These are the questions that I didn't want to be presented with.

Funny as it may seem `coz ultimately I became a mum myself. Here are some of the greatest things I have found out during maternity.

I learned that the phrase "Its Okay, Mommys here" works like magic; That only one pretty face exists no matter what the circumstances are and mothers have it; and that the cliche Mothers Know Best oftentimes mean I told you so or otherwise signify that you have get your mothers approval on everything even on your choice of women.

But more than that, I discovered that being mother is not just being the source of subsistence but also comfort, not just a source of trust but loyalty, not just a source of friendship but unconditional love. A bundle of emotions comes with motherhood that defies all known reason.

Being a mom means being the life giver, the teacher, and most of all the rescuer.

Because being a mother is to support your children all the way even if they choose to take the road you dont want them to. Because being a mother is to always be there even if it hurts. Because the truth is, once a mother, always a mother.

Courage. The main trait one has to exhibit in order to be called a real mother is courage. One other thing that makes most mothers special is their ability to take the place of all other people or in other words being in their shoes. Being remembered on mother's day once a year is not enough for bringing us to their world and at the same time giving up their world for us.

I already know this because of a very wonderful person in my life, my mother. As the mother of my kids now, the most fantastic part of my life is to know that I am important to my kids, and I will love them unconditionally, forever.
