A Mom's Ability

When I was at a young age, I at one time asked my mom what the nicest part of her day was, and without second thoughts, her reply was every last minute that you address me because you wanted me. Foolish as it may appear but we perpetually make our moms do stuff for us before like wash our clothes, fix up after us and thinking about it today made me feel bad on how uncaring we were back in the day. Growing up seeing my mommy handle too many things at the same time had me thinking of never requiring to become a mom someday. Just reckon, having a bad job with the most awful pay, has hardly the time to rest and still attends to us children. Who in their normal judgment would wish to pass through all of that?

So what constitutes a mother?

What characteristics do we have to own to be called a mum? Aside from being the individualswho gave birth to us, what makes them so particular to deserve them their own great occassion in the calendar addressed as Mother's Day? These are standard enquiries that I do not wish to be asked of since I don't know the precise resolution.

The day I ultimately underwent maternity is the day I had the reply to my queries. Here are some of the excellent things I've learned during motherhood.

A sure way to make you kids stop crying is to tell them "Its okay, Mom's here"; That only one pretty face exists no matter what the circumstances are and mothers have it; When you hear the quote "Mother Knows Best" is equivalent to the phrase "I told you so" or you have to have your mom's approval on everything specially your choice of women or men in your life.

Most of all, being a mom means being the sole light in the household when there is dark, a source of happiness when there is sadness, where hope comes from when there is hopelessness, the ultimate source of love. A bundle of emotions comes with motherhood that defies all known reason.

Being a mom means being the life giver, the teacher, and most of all the rescuer.

Because being a mother is to support your children all the way even if they choose to take the road you dont want them to. Being is a mother is to always be present despite the pain. Once can never cease to be a mother.

So what does it take to become a mother? It takes unbelievable and immeasurable courage. And why are mothers so special because they can take the place of all other people but then expect nothing in return. Being remembered on mother's day once a year is not enough for bringing us to their world and at the same time giving up their world for us.

I know this because I have a very wonderful mom. Now that I am a mother my self, the best part of my life is in fact my children who values me and I will love them wholeheartedly forever.
