Having an inflatable jumper in the backyard can be one of the most enjoyable activities for kids. Whether it is for a birthday party, a fun summer afternoon, or just to have in the backyard, inflatable bouncers are among the top outdoor activities you can have for your kids. Because of the jumping and bouncing around, there are some safety precautions that you should take prior to letting your kids bounce on them. The first thing you need to do is give your kids rules for jumping on the inflatable jumper. Obviously it is meant to be fun, but you have to explain to your kids that it can be dangerous if not used properly. If you only want a few kids jumping at a time, make sure it is clear. After explaining to your kids the rules, you can begin inflating the bouncer. The placement of the inflatable jumper is crucial for safety. Obviously you do not want to put the bouncer near a bunch of rocks or bushes. There is always the risk of your kids jumping out of the bouncer on accident and hurting themselves. Therefore, it is best to place it somewhere in the open. Along with the placement, you do not want to put the inflatable bouncer near anything sharp. Supposedly they are able to withstand tacks without puncturing a hole in the plastic. But why risk putting it near something that generally pops holes in plastic. Avoid placing it near the thorn bushes. Once you begin blowing up the inflatable jumper, you want to check the pump to make sure it is working efficiently and keeping the bouncer full of air. If for whatever reason it begins to die, kids can get injured while jumping on a deflating bouncer. The safe thing to do is check the motor and the pump every couple of weeks. The last thing you will want to look into is getting some kind of protective netting or plastic wall to include on the inflatable jumper. Many are constructed like a castle of some sort that includes walls on it. However, not all models have this, which makes it worthwhile to research and find one for your kid's safety. Certainly you want your kids to have fun in the backyard, and having an inflatable bouncer is a great way to do so. In order to ensure that everything stays safe and fun, taking the proper precautions listed above will help your kids have fun on an inflatable jumper.
