Interior and Exterior with Sandstone Light

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate: CaCO3). Limestone often contains variable amounts of silica in the form of flint, as well as varying amounts of clay, silt and sand as disseminations, nodules, or layers within the rock. Most sandstone is composed of quartz and/or feldspar. Like sand, sandstone may be of any colour, but the most common colours are tan, brown, yellow, red, grey and white. Since sandstone beds often form highly visible cliffs and other topographic features, certain colours of sandstone have been strongly identified with certain regions.

Sandstone light is uniquely nice, not only because it is the flexible sandstone. In fact, Sandstone light is visual sensation. It is possible to slice sandstone from stone blocks in thin layers of just 3 mm. The sliced Sandstone Light is exceptionally light, weighing just 5 kg/m², which is ideal for any building project. Special base layers render Sandstone light mouldable and make it decidedly practical for further processing. It can be perfectly adapted to any perceivable shape - curves, domes, depressions or edges, continuous and joint less.

Some Sandstone types are resistant to weathering yet are easy to work. This makes sandstone a common building and paving material. Because of the hardness of the individual grains, uniformity of grain size and friability of its structure, sandstone is an excellent material from which to make grindstones, for sharpening blades and other implements. Non-friable sandstone can be used to make grindstones for grinding grain.

Rock formations that are primarily sandstone usually allow percolation of water and are porous enough to store large quantities, making them valuable aquifers. Fine-grained aquifers, such as sandstones, are more apt to filter out pollutants from the surface than are rocks with cracks and crevices, such as limestone or other rocks fractured by seismic activity.

With Sandstone light, all wishes come true: the design possibilities are endless, because of very good environmental compatibility Sandstone light can be used anywhere - and the processing is conceivably simple. Use Sandstone Light for surfaces and mouldings. The warm character of the natural sandstone harmonizes with almost any ambiance:

Sandstone is ideal for use in the living area like, doorways, hallways, staircases, workspaces, saunas, kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms, terraces and many more.

It can also be effectively used in the business areas like, banks, offices, reception areas, restaurants, hotels, conference centres, stores, indoor pools, wellness and saunas and many more.

By using sandstones, we can create ample options of Interior as well as exterior designs, structures made of sandstones are good looking and they do not need much polishing or finishing. Even its maintenance is easy and less time and money consuming. These are the reasons behind increasing use of sandstones in making buildings.
