India has a unique geographical structure. From the top of India to bottom, Indian geography totally changes. India is a mixed land that has mountains, deserts, hills, plateaus and much more. It is a land locked country but still has diversified geography. This is the reason India is considered as a sub continent in itself. It is surrounded by the Arabian Sea in the west and by Bay of Bengal in the east. This mixed geography of the Indian land makes it a country that is rich in flora and fauna. The total area of India comprises of 90.44 percent of land and rest 9.56 percent of water.
Indian geography is very vast and changes with the land. It is very beautiful with natural combination of different types of mountains, highlands, seas, soil, hills and much more. Indian geography is a blissful approach one can experience for the mental peace. Soil of India also possesses different values with changing land of India. It can be classified into eight types black soil, alluvial soil, red soil, literate soil, forest soil, arid & desert soil, saline & alkaline soil, and peaty & organic soil. India is mounted by the Himalayas which also affects the Indian geography up to a great extent.
The mixed land of India and Indian geography including soil and climate make it a hub of various natural resources. In India various reserves of natural resources can be found like coal, iron ore, manganese, mica, bauxite, titanium ore, chromites, natural gas, diamonds, petroleum, limestone. Weather of India is also quite unique and changes as per the land geography. One can not expect a particular climate of the season. Northern India is usually cold and southern India is warm every time while the western part of India enjoys a moderate climate.
