Living Right Financially

In life, our financial resources and how we manage them matter. Let’s face it, we would not be able to have the freedom to eat, buy and do whatever we want if we have very meager finances. And so we work hard to earn a living to support our family and fulfill our desires. Being able to do this develops our self-esteem, contributes to our happiness and promotes the flow of positive chi in our life. Happiness, however, does not only come from having enough money. In other words, money is not the key to being happy. There had been many instances when people who had big sum of money such as the instant lottery winners who ended up being unhappy after careless spending. Unlike their life before winning when they had a manageable financial situation, they now have to contend with more debts. Having debts is really a nightmare that haunts you every day of your life until you can fully pay them. Managing finances well It’s actually the way we spend money that will determine our happiness and not how much we have in our savings account. This aspect is very important in feng shui. We have to have control over our finances in order to live right and be joyful. Living within your means is more like it. It’s a matter of making the right decisions for ourselves and our family. Our attitude towards money is vital in being able to manage our finances well. A strong sense of well-being will help us determine what important things to spend on and what to avoid. When we are happy and confident about our financial situation, we don’t need to buy luxurious and unimportant things just to show off to our friends and other people. It’s definitely okay to treat ourselves and our family to some expensive dinner or vacation once in a while. Honesty is also an important factor in being able to deal with our finances. If you know who you are and what your needs are, then you can develop an inner strength that will help you in every aspect of your life. Honesty, however, should not be limited to one’s self. Being truthful to your spouse, your children and friends is praiseworthy. Settle your dues Having unpaid dues for quite some time can truly be a burden and can cause a lot of stress to our body. It can give us headaches, anxiety and sleepless nights. Settling your bills (house bills, credit card bills, etc.) as early as possible every month is the way to eliminate the stress. Make it a habit to pay bills monthly. Not going over your credit limit and avoiding impulsive purchases are other solutions. Giving up or at least reducing some unnecessary spending habits like going to the movies every week or dining out won’t cause any harm as well. Maintaining only one credit card and checking out will be very helpful. When you’ve accomplished all these, who says you won’t be rejoicing. These steps may not be done overnight but following them will undoubtedly lead to your financial stability. And when your finances are in good shape, the better you feel about yourself and your life in general. There’s nothing like being able to control your financial situation and leading a happy life with your family. These two go together and therefore, must be always be balanced. In the home, we have the so-called financial power spots that can attract money and achieve financial stability. These areas are usually in the back part and left corner of any room. Be sure to make these spots clutter-free and improve their chi with prosperity symbols like bowl of coins, a bamboo plant or anything that symbolizes success and prosperity to you. It can be a photo of your dream house or car. Choose also the colors green (a symbol of vitality and growth) and purple (color of wealth). A final note, practice generosity and courtesy every day of your life. Being generous not only pertains to money but to your time, energy, compassion and appreciation. Be grateful as well for all the big and small blessings you receive. Appreciating the things that happen to you will surely attract more pleasant things.
