A wine
gift basket makes a really great gift for holidays like
Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s. And can also be a
delightful gift to give on a birthday, wedding, or wedding
anniversary. Just about anyone over the age of 21 will be
thrilled to receive one of these gift baskets, as they also make
awesome corporate gifts for clients and coworkers.
But, before sending a wine gift basket there are couple of things you
might want to consider. Are you purchasing the basket from a
website online? If so, the only states that can accept
alcohol gifts are California, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming,
Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Oregon, Nebraska, West Virginia,
Washington, New Hampshire, North Dakota, North Carolina, New York,
Massachusetts, Virginia, Connecticut, Michigan, Idaho, Colorado, New
Jersey, Alaska, and D.C.
If you plan on giving a wine gift basket in one of those states, you
will have to purchase a wine basket within that state, or send a gift
basket with a gift certificate so they can purchase a bottle of wine
locally.
After you know whether or not you can send a wine basket to the state
you want to send it to, you will have to decide on what kind of wine
basket to send. There are tons of wine baskets to choose
from, here are some of the better ones…
There are Italian wine baskets like the Francis
Ford Coppola Food and Wine basket that not only include 2
bottles of fine wine, but a variety of delicious organic pastas and
sauce to create an authentic Italian meal.
Instead of Italian wine baskets, there is a huge selection of other
wine baskets from various parts of the world like France, Spain, and
California. All come with authentic wine that originated from
the country it’s from.
There a so many different wines from around the world, that listing
them all would be daunting task.
Red wines like cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel are usually aged in
wood barrel to give you a taste that ranges from a deep flavor, to a
light fruity flavor. Red wines gain their color from the skin
of grapes and also tend to be more acidic.
White wines like chardonnay and French colombardare do not normally
aged in wood barrels, and can give you a taste from bone dry to sweet.
Those various wines from around the world can be paired up with some
delicious foods or other gift items that can match up with the person’s
personality or interests that you are shopping for. Some good
examples are wine baskets that include golf gifts for the golfer, spa
gifts for lady on your gift list, or everyone’s favorite; chocolate for
just about anybody.
We mentioned earlier that wine gifts like the Executive
Selection make a great gift to give to a company, client, or
coworker. This is a great way to say thank you
after doing business, or sending them some holiday cheer.
No matter what wine gift you choose, sending a wine gift is the perfect
way to say thanks, happy holidays, or congratulations.
