Sabor Latino

Restaurant Review by Stan Dyer

The next time you find yourself in Northwest Denver, or in the mood to try something a little bit different, try a meal at Sabor Latino, 4340 W. 35th Avenue, (303) 455-8664, in the old Elitch’s neighborhood.

Sabor Latino is located right on the corner of the street among classic homes built in the 1920’s just south of the townhouse development at the old Elitch Gardens on Tennyson. They serve a Central American cuisine that reminded me of the Cuban food I enjoyed in college. They do have good vegetarian options, including tamales wrapped in banana leaves and fried plantains, and the menu has enough variety to make selecting a choice difficult for most people. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the prices are moderate.

Sabor Latino is well worth the drive and sure to become a favorite restaurant you’ll want to share with friends.
