Home based business opportunity, making money online…if you want results, this skill is critical! Yes, listening (active listening) is the first and most important relationship building principle. Use it from the very first moment of contact with people and all the time forever.
Because we’re human, we forget about this or we are so excited about our achievements, status, other things, we talk their ear off about ourselves. OOPS – let’s be aware and conscious of what we are doing, so that every person to person interaction generates a warm, positive feeling in the other person.
Active listening is when you are truly 100% attentive to what they are saying, focused on them, listening to understand them, to bond, establish rapport. If it’s not an active, sincere interest in them, they’ll pick up those vibes and energy, it won’t feel good to them.
Where we fail the most in the listening process is this. While people are answering our questions, we are thinking about how we will reply to them, how we will tell them about ourselves (our great self). We place our self as more important than them, and they recognize this. It’s fake, not real, our ego is in high gear. Let’s stop this – it doesn’t work to establish trust, to develop a relationship, to build a home based business and make money online.
It makes our life more difficult in personal, business and friendship relationships, when what we really want is a life of ease and success.

* It lets people know you are sincerely interested in them. People today are more hungry than ever to be heard, to be understood, to be cared about. You connect and win their heart, their emotions, gain their trust.
* People love the personal attention, the chance to express themselves, to tell about themselves. All we have to do is ask some simple questions from our heart, and soon we’ll know all about them, what makes them tick, what’s important to them, what they like and even dislike.
* People feel good, they like you, they open up and become ready to hear your comments and message, hear about you…. maybe right now, maybe the next time you talk (soon).
* It prepares us to know how we can be of service, assistance to them – as a friend or in business. We will know how to ‘give’, to serve, and more………… giving us joy, peace, fulfillment and success.
