A question and answer session with professional attraction marketer Patrick Curl.


Patrick Curl is a professional MLMer working out of his house in Dayton, OH. Patrick Curl has one of the broadest downline organizations in his company. Patrick Curl also is a social media marketer, search engine optimzation evangelist, and social networking enthusiast.


Question: How long have you been practicing MLM?


Answer: Well, candidly I've been attempting to do Multi-level marketing since 1998. I started into network marketing with Life Force Int'l - a health and wellness company. I received some good success, not terrific but nice during the first 3-6 months. I attained around $600, which isn't extraordinary but it's a nice beginning in my mind. I was 18 at this time, and the thought of owning my personal business was an dramatic prospect.


I enrolled approximately 5 people on my own, my strongest recruit was a man I recall his name was Roger. I was brand-new to internet marketing, as was he.


Long story short he recruited approximately 20 individuals, then got censured for doing some spamming. He did not get ousted, just lectured by the company. He was annoyed, and left the company. My income disappeared totally and I was unable to reconstruct it. I did not know it then but I had just set about on a decade of training that would end in the actualization of my most intensive ambitions.


After Roger left, I lost just about everyone in my organization. Nobody was earning money and without the money, I couldn't afford to buy the $100 monthly autoship products, so I dropped out.


Since then I have been in Legacy For Life, two tiers under Mark Yarnell who at the time was a reasonably famous MLM, but has since lost about all of his regard as a . I was also in Ameriplan on two separate occasions, Cognigen, Excel Communications, World Marketing Alliance, Mary Kay - yeah that was kind of a gag (not because the company is poor but I'm a man and nearly all of the wares just don't fit me.)


I've essentially been there, and done that. The entire time I was looking for the ideal opportunity for me. What I did not do was attempt to make me perfect for the opportunity.


Question: What did you mean by perfect for the opportunity?


Answer: Every Network Marketing company has two aspects: Products and Opportunity. At least that is the external aspect. But deeper, on a more personal level is the individual.


When we are successful in Network Marketing it's not because we are a terrific sales person, or because the opportunity is the greatest on earth, or because there is no other product similar to the one we have. We are productive sole when we become the product and opportunity.


In other words, we are what's being traded. Network Marketing is the business of relationship construction. True success can only come from building relationships.


Question: What's the greatest way to get new members?


Answer: Well, the old technique was to form a list of every one of your loved ones and attempt to sell them on the business opportunity. This works - but only after you're already prosperous. The real success secret is to use article marketing, pay per click ads, paid ads, classified advertisements, craigslist, forums, etc - basically all the resources that the internet gives us, to capture leads. Once you get your extremely targeted prospects, give them a call and build relationships with these people.


Some may join, and some may not. The primary thing is to defeat your fearfulness of becoming victorious. Phone fear is a Network Marketing killer and something that simply involves a little exertion to master. Be sure to use consistent effort and make at least 10 calls per day for the first 2 weeks if possible.


Some may try babysteps before leaping in and making a bunch of calls but that's not advisable, because its very easy to call 3 individuals, and your prospect of finding someone to join is less than 1 in 3. The more individuals that you call, the more likely you are to have a measure of success which will translate into more self-assurance and more success.


Question: What is the best advice you can contribute to brand-new individuals wanting to be prosperous in MLM?


Answer: If you stop believing in yourself, and your power to make it work then you will never be victorious. Nobody will follow somebody who does not have passion. Dare to be passionate about your business and you are guaranteed success.
