Faux wood blinds are the most common type of horizontal sold on today’s market in the window covering industry. There are two main types of faux wood blinds. The 100% PVC blind and the popular composite blinds.
The 100% PVC faux wood blind is made of 100% polymers. They come in one inch slats, two inch slats, 2 ½” slats and the three inch slat. Many changes have been perfected in the last couple of years. Some examples of the changes are longer life against discoloration and warpage. PVC faux wood blinds are heavier than most blinds and required more strings to pull it up and down.
The composite faux wood blinds are relatively new on the market. The faux wood blinds are made of a wood and PVC mixture. They are totally recyclable and much lighter than the 100% PVC faux wood blinds. The composites typically last longer but are more expensive than their counter parts.
