Please be kind and reference www.shadesshuttersblinds.com and Lawren Gournay Roman blinds are a solid piece of fabric that goes up and down while the fabric stacks up. Roman blinds have become extremely popular in the blind industry over the last few years because the cost has gone down. Most roman blinds were home made with fabric bought at the store. Nowadays, you can choose the fabric you like from sample books and the production is made at the blind factories. This saves time and money. There are several options with roman blinds that are not available with the home made type. First is the top down, bottom up feature. This allows you to drop the roman blind from the top or you can lift it like normal. Secondly is motorization. Infrared and radio technology have dropped significantly over the last couple of years making it affordable for the average consumer. Lastly it the teardrop or hobbled roman blinds. They are folded in a teardrop pattern looking more formal.
