<h1>The Development of The Tourism Industry</h1> <p align=right>by Andrew Schwartz</p> <div align=justify>The tourism industry usually plays a great role in the economy of the countries. The tourism gives many economical advantages to the country: it provides a huge opportunities for the employment, guarantee a great income into the national economy, stimulates the developing of the tourist infrastructure and rises the quality of national service. But there is another side of the situation: the tourism industry damages the nature and the environment, provoke to the globalization and wipe the borders between different culture and nations. The government of the each country have to control and stimulate the developing of tourism industry and to reduce the possible damage effects of its developing. There are four main directions in the tourism control policy: the planning of the tourism developing including financial outlays; the observing and control the different sectors of the national tourism industry; the indirect ownership; the advertising of the national tourism products in the domestic and international markets. Many long years the government of the United Kingdom gave a small consideration to the problems of tourism industry, but in the year 1997 the labour party focused on the tourism industry and supported its development. The main steps were: to get the government departments to take part in the tourism supporting; to improve the promotion of the tourism industry; to reform the transport system; to analyze the existent system of the tourism in the UK. After the formulation of these main directions in the tourism industry the Government began to act. First of all the tax system in tourism sphere was reformed, the participation in the international tourist organizations was legalized and the special tourism departure with the concrete authorities in the government was formed.
