<div align=justify>The novel “Walking Naked “tells the story of a girl, who is torn between friendships. She has to make the choice between the group, which brings attention and respect, and “The Freak”, who is real friend but staying with him means isolation, the thing that is the most fearful for Megan. Such girls as Megan can not stand loneliness and isolation, as they are in habit of being in the center of everybody’s attention. They can not function without group and always move out all the others who are the obstacle for them. Both texts explore the feelings and scares of the girls, having similar styles and ways of living. The only difference is that Cady is a new person in the school and Megan is staying at school, where everybody is bullying, for a long time.

The plots of two novels are similar, as both girls have the dilemma between choosing friends or popularity. The girls do not want to lose their friends, but the desire of being popular and more successful than other girls is bigger. These girls are concentrated on gaining acceptance from others. As a result, the people who were their friends are those against whom they discriminate. Both stories tell about issues, that one teenage girl faced in high school and those events are depicted from very like sides.

The power and responsibility that come with popularity can corrupt both girls. Megan and Cady understood that at the top of the ladder, there has to be someone who maintains the bottom and without them the ladder crushes. During the whole stories both girls came through a lot of difficulties, such as bullying and struggle for acceptance. They both came through hardships and feeling of rejection and isolation, as a result, they understood the real values of life and became better people.</div>
