<div align=justify>If you're like me you have heard of organic foods, but never gave it much thought. I know that if you buy organic fresh foods and juices they are considerably more costly than regular foods. But what exactly are organic foods? Are they really different or the same foods grown without chemicals? Organic gardens are gardens that produce plants and vegetables that are grown and handled naturally. There are many people who are understandably concerned about the chemicals that are sprayed on commercial fruits and vegetables and the additives they’re given to keep them fresh. There are even worries about what exactly some foods are composed of since sometimes there is a long list of ingredients on the box or can when they are not fresh. Just recently there have been big scares and recalls of Cabbage, and even dog food, where many dogs have died. There was concern about corn used and whether any was the same as used for people. We all know how fruits and vegetables are healthy for our mind and bodies, but what about those chemicals and additives that are placed on commercially grown food? They sometimes cancel out the nutritious benefits in the food because they cause damage to our systems. We are never really sure how controlled and safely applied the chemicals used in foods are. Organic gardening has come into play to ensure that we’re consuming fresh, natural foods to provide the necessary nutrients for our bodies. Organic gardening doesn’t use any chemicals or additives, so you can enjoy an all-natural diet. If one has a vegetable garden or fruit trees you can often taste the difference in your home grown foods compared to what you buy in the store. The commercially grown fruits and vegetables use chemicals to keep the insects and other pests away from the food and the additives are what keep them fresher longer from the harvesting field to the consumer’s table. The idea behind using chemicals and additives is fine, but there are other ways to produce food for the population without tainting it with chemicals and additives. If you grow your own organic garden you have the benefit of eating the produce right away while it is fresh. That eliminates the need for any additives to be put in your food. Fruits and vegetables will last long enough after picking it until the time you eat it. There’s really no need to use chemicals to rid the plants of pests. What you need to do is grow natural bushes and plants in your garden that deter some "pest" insects and attract the type of insects that will rid it of any insects that would harm the food. Likewise there’s no need to use artificial fertilizers to help the plants. You can use natural fertilizers that you can recycle over and over, keeping waste under control. Keep your leaves, grass clippings and table scraps to be stored for composting. They are real organic fertilizers once they decompose. One of the biggest advantages of having an organic garden is that since there are no chemicals used in your soil, there’s no danger to the plant life, wildlife, water supply, and humans. If you have pets you don't have to worry about them sampling any of your precious garden delights because if they do they won't get sick from dangerous chemicals. When you grow your food organically through organic gardening it allows you to put food on the table for your family and know exactly what you’re putting on the table instead of just taking a chance, like you would with regular store bought food. You will know for sure that you’re not putting anything harmful in front of your family to eat. You can take charge and control of at least some, if not much of your family's food needs, by providing fresh organically grown food direct from your garden. No sprayed chemicals, no fertilizers (some so powerful they are used to make bombs), no accompanying worries about the food. They'll receive all the benefit from nutrients your organic garden provides. </div>
