SUCCESS IN AFFILIATE MARKETING
I see a lot written about how to succeed in Affiliate Marketing - they talk about building your list, advertising your site, and always center on things you can do to get people to see your site.
But it really needs to start much more basic than that - it needs to start with you - not the people coming to your site, but YOU! Is this really your dream - something you can see and taste with all your being? Because believe me if you feel lukewarm about the whole deal you will never succeed no matter how many steps to success someone gives you!
Not everyone wants to be in total control - they like being along for the ride. But for those who do, the idea of being mere passengers does not appeal to people who like to take control of their own destiny. They have the desire to be the ones to take it anywhere they want to. It is something each and every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they can is what makes them actually want to.
But if you have the deep desire and the true dream to do it on your own, perhaps affiliate marketing will work for you. It is a business where there are no bosses, no external deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to at a certain time. With the right tools and strong enough desire you can get what your heart ultimately desires.
There are five traits you are going to need to help you focus your desire into a profitable and successful Affiliate Marketing business:
1. You must be willing to put in time and effort and stick to it - even when you don't see anything happening. It's a lot like growing plants - a lot happens under the ground those first few weeks or months that you never even see. But just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening! So hang tough.
2. You must be willing to learn new ways of doing things. This is a business unlike any brick or physical business you've ever worked. There are people who have made it and made it big! You need to be willing to learn how they did it and do what has been proven to work.
3. You also need good old fashioned guts and determination. It's the self-motivators that are going to finish this race. No wimps allowed. Remember you don't have a boss reminding you to get it done!
4. Stay upbeat and positive. Nothing will bring your dreams crashing down faster than a negative attitude. Someone is always going to try and rain on your parade - just make sure you have your umbrella handy and remember without the rain there would be no rainbows!
5. Along with the determination and positive attitude mentioned above comes discipline. Only you can make yourself learn new ways, plant those seeds day after day and wait for the growth. Remember this is your dream - your heart's desire.
Don't ever let go of the dream. Dreams are what keep us alive. Stay inspired and dream well my friend.
