To make money online from your online business, you need to set up a system that is fashioned towards creating and marketing your own products in the long run. In the short run, as you are building your business, you are going to find profitable affiliate products to plug into your advertising and distribution system whiles you are creating your online products to sell.

1) Know who you are. What is your life passion? How can you incorporate your online business into it?
2) Never quit, because quitters never win. There is no sense in getting started, in spending the first penny or moment of time if you are going to quit when things get rough--they will, so you might as well not get started. Making money online takes determination and perseverance.

4) Learn where you niche market congregates. How do they use the internet? How do they relate to others online?
5) Find out the needs of your chosen niche market. What do they need? What kind of questions do they ask that you might be able to answer?
6) Start to communicate with your niche market. Discover their needs. Learn how to meet those needs. Learn what you need to know to become an expert in your chosen niche.
7) Learn what other products or services on the web already meet some of their needs. What are some products your niche market is asking about that are not available yet? Those items might be good items for you to begin to think about creating. See if the ones that are already available have an affiliate program associated with them, so you can start making money online whiles you develop your product.
9) Build a web site. To make real money online, you need your own rich content website. You cannot run a serious online long term business on someone else’s web site. Design a squeeze page on your web site so you can begin to build a list of visitors to your website in an email campaign. Keep in constant contact with them. Design a recommendation page which will have links to your affiliate products.
10) Get an auto responder. Write articles for your niche market. At the end of each email article, place a link back to the recommendation page of your web site.
11) Start to spend more time online with your niche market. Find every forum you can where people in your niche market congregate. Find out what they are looking for, what questions they have.
12) Learn the answers to the questions people have in the forums. Give them your answers. After awhile they will start trusting you in the forums. Read a great deal so that you can answer their questions.
13) Create an information product that answers questions folks in the forums have been asking.
14) Create a sales page and an email to introduce each of your new products
15) Find joint venture (JV) partners that will help you distribute your new product. Advertise in ezines.
16) You start the whole process again meeting the needs of your subscribers.
If you can follow these basic steps, you will establish an online business which will be producing residual income for years to come.
