The V Festival is an annual music festival held in England during the penultimate weekend in August every year, the event is held at two parks simultaneously which share the same bill; artists perform at one location on Saturday and then on Sunday at second location. Both these sites are located at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Essex and Weston Park in South Staffordshire.
This year this twin-sited V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday 22nd August and Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Sunday 23rd August.
Tickets will be available to buy at 10am, this Friday 6th March; tickets are priced at £152.50 for a weekend pass with camping and £132.50 for a weekend pass without camping, or £73.50 for a day ticket. There are only weekend with coach ticket options still available for both events.
With a capacity of 90,000 the site will open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday. The arena will be open from 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday to 11pm. Weekend Ticket holders (camping and non camping) should exchange their tickets for wristbands at the wristband exchange tent. Day ticket holders do not need to exchange their tickets for a wristband.
Although predominantly V Festival is a rock music festival, with a wide range of musical genres are accepted; in recent year’s pop acts and performances have become more common.
The car parking facility will be available on festival site at around £10 per car and there is a park and ride scheme from Telford as well. Camper vans are also allowed on festival site, the ticket prices are not decided yet. The Big Green Coach will be expected to run coaches into the two sites from destinations across the UK.
Lockers facility wills also b available on that day and lockers are situated outside the arena by Gate 3, prices will be displayed there.
Campfire and glass are not allowed on site. Alcohol is not permitted to be taken into the arena. The only containers permitted in the arena will be those carrying non alcoholic liquid in collapsible plastic, foil or cardboard forms of not more than 1 litre.
The bars are operated on a token system. Tokens are purchased from the token booths then exchanged at the bar for drinks. Some token booths will remain open for 1 hour after the bars have closed so vouchers can be redeemed.
