Network marketing is simple, but when done "the old way" whether it's belly to belly encounters or cold calling it really isn't easy nor pleasant at times. Let me explain why I believe that a number, probably 90% of new and even seasoned network marketers fail. A lot of network marketers fail because they continue to go about their business in "the old ways."
So, why do most network marketers fail you ask, most of them fail because the marketing methods they are taught do not work the majority of the time. We are all taught to purchase cold call leads and call them again and again and again. Most of the time we get hung up on, insulted and even told some choice words which I will not repeat here. Some people have luck with cold calls, not me. In reality, unless you're a "natural" sales leader your are probably going to have the same results.
What about "warm" leads you say. Most of the leads are "warm" because people tend to answer yes to ads which ask questions like, do you want to earn more money and be financially free, who would not answer yes to that ad. That makes all these people warm lead. They were not even asked if they are interested in MLM or a home based business. Chances are, these leads don't know anything about the network marketers business and for the most part honestly don't care. Here goes network marketer "A" calling up the said "warm" lead and they are probably met with the same results as they were with the "cold" leads.
Hearing No, No No, all the time leads to quite a bit of self doubt, both about the network marketers own ability and the validity of their association with their network marketing company. Once this happens the network marketer usually throws in the towel and vows to give up network marketing forever, never to return.
